Don Zietlow (Our Plan may not be God’s Plan for Us)
Don is president and owner of Kwik Trip, a Wisconsin-based chain of 420 convenience stores. He was named Convenience Store Petroleum’s (CSP) Retail Leader of the Year in 2012.
Pastor Mark Jeske
Pastor Jeske has served as the senior pastor at St. Marcus Lutheran Church on the north side of Milwaukee, WI, since 1980. Pastor Jeske has also been bringing the Word of God to viewers of Time of Grace since November 2001. The broadcasts now air on more than 50 stations, numerous cable networks, five different satellite channels, Armed Forces television, and the internet.
Pastor Roger Sachs
Pastor Sachs serves as the spiritual advisor for the La Crosse Coulee Region Chapter of Kingdom Workers. He is a retired pastor who continues to serve the ministry of First Lutheran Church in La Crosse, WI. He also serve as a valuable part of the Kingdom Workers Convention Committee.
Pastor Mark Henrich
Pastor Henrich serves as associate pastor at Atonement Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI. He serves as spiritual advisor for the Kingdom Workers National Board, a position he has faithfully held since 2008.
Pastor Jon Bilitz
Pastor Bilitz teaches religion at Luther High School in Onalaska, WI, as well as coaches baseball and basketball. He also serves the campus ministry in La Crosse, WI. We have also been blessed to Pastor Bilitz as a part of the Kingdom Workers Convention Committee.
WORSHIP MUSIC LEADER
Paul serves as principal of Luther High School in Onalaska, WI. He will welcome us to the convention.
WELS President Mark Schroeder
Through a video message, Pastor Schroeder, president of WELS, will provide us with encouragement as we work together to share the gospel.
Pastor Ed Schuppe
Pastor Schuppe is a mission counselor who works with mission and established congregations in four WELS districts. He is very instrumental in placing Evangelism Mentoring Teams for Kingdom Workers.
Stefan & Kathy Felgenhauer (Reaching Out in Malawi)
Stefan currently serves as field manager in Malawi, Africa. Kathy assists Stefan as he builds strong relationships with many leaders of the Lutheran Church of Central Africa (LCCA)-Malawi, and has collaboratively developed mission plans with ten congregations and their pastors, as well as two programs on the national level involving LCCA-Malawi, the mission, and the Lutheran Bible Institute.
Howard & Rachel Schroeder (Reaching Out in Mexico)
Howard and Rachel Schroeder, moved to León, Mexico, in September 2012, so Howard could serve as a field manager. With staff on-site, Kingdom Workers can prioritize what forms of humanitarian aide are needed, determine the best response, and develop new outreach programs.
Charlie Ungemach (Summer Outreach)
Charlie is a student at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. He spent the summer of 2012 serving the congregation of St. Paul’s First Lutheran Church in North Hollywood, CA as they reached out to the community.
Mike Westendorf (The Family Church-Living Faith Reaches Out)
Possessing the characteristic of a storyteller, Mike combines his passion for Jesus with his gift of music. A WELS artist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mike’s compelling lyrics and delivery touch the hearts of listeners as he shares the story of God’s faithfulness. A husband and father of three, professional meteorologist, a college campus music director at The Point of Grace, ministry consultant, motivational conference speaker, and national touring musician.
Laura Dietrich & Elizabeth Krahn (Reaching Out With Technology In Malawi, Africa)
Laura and Elizabeth taught computer skills to the students at the Lutheran Bible Institute in Lilongwe during the summer of 2012. Over the course of their seven weeks of volunteer service, they worked with the students, their families, the pastors, and teachers and enjoyed worshiping with them in the church on campus.
Aaron Wakeman (As God leads – The Story of Open Doors and Receiving Hearts in East Asia)
Aaron was blessed to be part of a team sent to East Asia in 2004. He and his wife, Cora spent two years teaching English there.
Elaine Otterstatter (Reaching Out in Russia)
Elaine spent three months as a volunteer in Tomsk, Russia. There she taught English as a second language and often had opportunity to use that as a stepping stone for sharing the gospel.
Kandi Schafer (The Lord Calls Us All…How Will You Answer?)
Kandi taught at Colegio de los Angeles, an all-girls private Lutheran school in Bogota, Colombia, for five months. She taught students from pre-kindergarten through high school. Kandi encouraged her students to share their beliefs in English, and by the end of her stay, her students found it exciting to share Bible stories in a new language.
Heather Biedenbender (Reaching Out Through Kingdom Workers Chapters)
Heather is a member of the La Crosse Coulee Region Chapter. She will share the outreach work that a Kingdom Workers Chapter can be involved in on a local level.
Ray & Joanne Solofra (Search and Rescue)
Ray and Joanne have been active in the Kingdom Workers’ Evangelism Mentoring Teams ministry. They have served in Tallahassee, FL; Reno, NV; Norman, OK; and Fayetteville, NC.
Pastor Bill Limmer (Get a Tan)
Getting outside of the church so that we can be the Church. You will get burned from time to time, but it is not about you. Pastor Limmer is the outreach pastor at The Chapel, the WELS Campus Ministry at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Pastor Kurt Lueneburg & Harry Mears (How Do I Decide Who to Support and How Much?)
Pastor Lueneburg serves as director of WELS Ministry of Christian Giving. He and Harry will share how best to use the resources that God has blessed us with.
Laura Harstad (So, You’re Ready to Volunteer)
Laura is the international volunteer coordinator for Kingdom Workers. She will help you get ready to volunteer for missions.
Jason Paltzer (Collaborations on Global Health)
Jason leads the new international public health ministry of Kingdom Workers. Come and learn about the goals of this ministry and the wonderful opportunities that the Lord has placed before us.
Rebekah Carey (Shoes, Shots, and Society: Short-term Service Overseas)
Rebekah is chair and assistant professor for the School of Nursing at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI. She served as a nurse for three years in Zambia through the Central Africa Medical Mission. Rebekah now teaches Global Health Nursing, taking students to Zambia for clinical experience.
Bill Truebenbach & Tim Ulrich (Malawi, Africa – A Ministry Partnership)
Bill and Tim, of Jesus Cares Ministries, visited Malawi, Africa, in November 2012 to see how the gospel can be shared with people with intellectual disabilities and their families. Their visit to Malawi has produced a partnership between Jesus Cares Ministries and Kingdom Workers.
