Help us spread the word!
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters :: Colossians 3:23
The Builders For Christ project is nearly complete in Franklin, WI. Where Victory of the Lamb used to meet in a movie theater, now they have a full sanctuary and fellowship areas. They are set to dedicate their new building on January 10, 2016.

Victory of the Lamb – Builders For Christ Impact
This summer an open field turned into a campground as one by one the RVs of the Builders For Christ volunteers arrived from as far away as Texas. Soon our little campground also became a busy construction site and now the successful completion of our ministry center project is near. It’s on time. It’s on budget. God be praised!
On the one hand, the impact of the BFC volunteers on our ministry center project is measurable. Because of the capable, hard work of so many willing volunteers, our church saved somewhere between $150,000-$200,000 in building costs. And of course this is no small thing. This allowed us to dream and build bigger than we would’ve been able to do without their help. This enabled us to build multiple classrooms for kids’ ministry which we wouldn’t have been able to afford otherwise. We will be able to immediately do more ministry when we move in. We are very thankful to God for this.
On the other hand, the impact that the BFC volunteers have had is immeasurable! The joy of serving the Lord absolutely shined through in word and deed all summer long. Each week Robert Browning, BFC co-project manager, gave an update with pictures up on the big screen of the movie theater—not only letting everyone see the progress but encouraging everyone with his joyful servant’s heart which was also evident in everyone who served. It was a beautiful thing to experience so many volunteers from across the synod coming together and interacting with members of our church who could not only then worship side by side but work side by side with fellow believers in an environment of mutual patience, love, and respect. And, judging by the laughter, an awful lot of fun was had too. Even when facing some frustrations it was faith, forgiveness, and a spirit of Christian friendship that always won the day.
Uniquely I think, as a project in the Milwaukee area, we experienced the meshing of BFC volunteers who stayed on site, new BFC volunteers who commuted from the area daily, and a great many from within our own church who got a taste of how much fun it is to serve the Lord with likeminded Christians.
Personally, there aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am for all who’ve volunteered. Some of my lasting memories are the smiles of satisfaction on everyone’s faces when we'd grill out after a long day of work well done, singing hymns with everyone in the garage while playing my guitar, listening to my dad (who got his first taste of being a BFC volunteer) joyfully describe how inspired he was by the people he got to work with, and just randomly stopping by during morning devotion time to hear Mark Pamperin, our BFC project manager, remind people, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men” (Colossians 3:23).
