PROJECT OVERVIEW: Builders For Christ is assisting Peace Lutheran Church in Mankato, MN, construct an addition to their existing facility. This 6,700 sq. ft. addition will provide much needed space to their growing congregation.
Peace was established about 15 years ago and membership has grown to over 500 souls. They have been operating a very successful pre-school since 2003. As of last fall, enrollment ranged from 40 to 50 students. The addition is planned to accommodate up to 90 students.
The project will consist of a vestibule, multi-purpose area, lobby, three offices, several pre-school rooms, restroom facilities, mechanical room, and storage areas. When our work is complete, much of the existing church area will be remodeled by the congregation’s general contractor to increase the needed sanctuary seating.
The three main phases of work and estimated time frames are:
Phase 1 - Framing, trusses, interior framing, door & windows (June 6 - July 1)
Phase 2 - Exterior finish, interior finish, insulation, drywall (July 5 - July 29)
Phase 3 - Interior, finish interior doors, painting (Aug. 1 - end of project)
