Things are all prepped and ready to go! Tonight we helped Principal Jarrod Pfarr of Hope Lutheran Academy get shirts set out and soccer balls pumped up.  We are ready and raring to go tomorrow with our sports camp!  The kids get to hear a devotion in the morning, work some soccer and basketball skills, and hear a closing devotion and some prayers.  Out of the 17 children signed up, only 1 is from the congregation!  Shannon, Michael, Carl and I are very excited to use this opportunity to plant the seed of the gospel and let God help it grow in these little lambs' hearts.

It has been a whirlwind two days of Path to Victory sports camp! Working with these campers and coaches out in the California heat has been a true bonding experience. A cool part of the week so far has been our devotions at the beginning of the day. Mr. Jarrod Pfarr led Monday's devotion, which focused on the word perseverance and what it means for us as people and as Christians. What was even cooler was how the coaches reinforced that concept thought the rest of the day and really reminded the campers why we are here.

Sixteen of the 17 campers were not members of the church, so we were sharing the gospel with children who might not have ever heard it before.  It was a truly humbling experience for me, knowing that God was using me to share his love with these campers.”
