"As the workers in the disabilities program go into homes and into schools with physical assistance for kids with special needs, they also carry with them God's word." – Brenda, Volunteer
On the island of Grenada, children with disabilities had limited opportunities to receive the education they needed and deserved. Grace Lutheran Church in Grenada saw this need as an opportunity and partnered with Kingdom Workers to do something about it.
With the help of Kingdom Workers, local volunteers in Grenada received HANDLE training (Holistic Approach to Neurodevelopment Learning Efficiency). Thanks to this partnership, children in Grenada are now getting the personal care and individualized attention they need to succeed in school.
Through these acts of kindness by people who want to make a difference, families and children in Grenada are encountering the redeeming love of Christ.
Brenda brought her 25 years of education experience and certification in HANDLE (Holistic Approach to Neurodevelopment Learning Efficiency) to Grenada to work with Grace Lutheran in developing a program to serve children with special needs. She provided the volunteers with the knowledge and skills they craved to be leaders in the program and to serve their community.
