Kingdom Workers is partnering with Grace Lutheran School in Grenada to help equip teachers with the skills to manage a classroom and educate children from a biblical perspective. This full-time mission worker will focus on developing the professional capacity of the teaching staff at Grace, including one-to-one training and mentoring of staff.  Areas of professional development could include: classroom management, religious education, lesson planning, and Christian motivation for service. While serving, the mission worker will share the Gospel in word and action, both in the school and the community. 

The Early Childhood (preK-2 grade) Mentor will:
- Design and implement individual teacher development plans
- Model Christian educational excellence in all areas 
- Use God-given knowledge, skills, and abilities to share the Gospel in the school and community

Grace Lutheran School overview:

Enrollment: 110 students (projected 130-140 students next year)
The school was built five years ago and is the first Lutheran school on the island. It strives to provide quality education both in Christ-centered  curriculum and in school facilities. The school has partnered with Kingdom Workers for several community outreach projects including Easter for Kids, Science Camp, Aquaponics Agriculture Training, and an education mentor.

  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Spiritually mature member of WELS, ELS, or other CELC church body
    • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
    • WELS or ELS synod certification with at least 5 years’ experience
    • Guided or trained others in prior jobs or service opportunities
    • Experience teaching children the Bible (i.e., Christ Light and Sunday School curriculum) and able to modify lessons for a diverse group
    • Able to help others understand all aspects of curriculum, especially Bible instruction and religious curriculum
    • Able to select and use appropriate training methods and procedures
    • Able to assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements
    • Proficient use of technology and able to learn new technology as needed
    • Strong communication skills

    • Passion for understanding other cultures and helping others
    • Able to manage conflict in a Christ-like way
    • Gospel motivated in training others
    • Self-disciplined in daily activities and able to serve without supervision
    • Honest and humble when sharing feedback with others
    • Flexible and ready to learn and grow in new environments
    • International or urban school teaching or administrative experience
    • International service experience (3 months or more)
