Spring 2017 :: Dave Reinemann, Field Worker : Japan

Isn’t it amazing when God works through the actions of a child? Last summer, sisters Hikaru and Koharu were riding bikes when Hikaru noticed a Vacation Bible School sign at Aganai Lutheran Church. Crafts, games, singing- it sounded like fun! She begged her parents to let her try VBS just once, and they eventually gave in. Hikaru had so much fun she ended up going again and again, bringing little Koharu with her.

The Holy Spirit used Hikaru and Koharu’s interest in VBS to reach their parents. The entire family now attends English classes led by Kingdom Workers field worker Dave Reinemann. Here, they learn English, hear God’s Word, and spend time with Pastor Nakamoto and other students in a fun and friendly environment. They already mentor and encourage other children and adults.

The Aganai English classes consist of members, friends of members, and people from the community who have an interest in English. There are more than fifty regular students, and they all have the opportunity to strengthen important relationships: relationships with their Savior, Pastor Nakamoto, and other Christians who love and care for them.
