SUMMER CAMP IN FORT MYERS: ALLI DORN

KW Editor Note: Alli Dorn was sent to Crown of Life Lutheran in Fort Myers, Florida this summer and spent most of her time volunteering for their summer camp program.

The time I spent in Fort Myers was time well spent. Everyone that I met there was inviting and kind. It was very nice getting to know some of the members of Crown of Life. It wasn't just the teachers and staff that were excited about Haley and I working there, some of the members even took us out for sightseeing. Everyone was so grateful for our time and helped us out around the school a lot. I learned so much in my time there and the people were such a blessing!

The main reason we were there was for Crown of Life's Summer Camp program. We had about 17 kids in the 4-5 year old program and about 10-13 came everyday. We had a blast with those kids. They were so full of energy, and when Bible time they came around they were well-behaved and you could see the Holy Spirit working in their hearts. That was wonderful because many of the kids do not belong to a church; we hope they brought the stories home with them to build their own faith as well as that of their families. The children were a blessing to my life and I hope we were to theirs as well. Being in Fort Myers was a wonderful blessing and experience. I want to thank God, school and Kingdom Workers for giving me this opportunity to serve in God's ministry.
