Email is a great resource to communicate with your friends and family about your up-coming mission project. We encourage you to send regular emails throughout your fundraising efforts to keep your email audience informed. These emails are examples which you can use verbatim or adjust to your writing style.

Email #1: Week 1, Day 2

Dear, family and friends,

I have some exciting news! In four months I am going to volunteer for a mission project in (place you are serving) with Kingdom Workers. While I am there, I will be (what will you be doing on your mission project? Canvassing, VBS, other?) Join me in my 30-Day Challenge to raise 100% of the funds needed for this mission project.

This is where you can make it personal. Have you served a mission project before? If so, do you have a story you could share? Explain why you are excited for this trip! Include how you hope to impact the kingdom when you serve.

(Example) As you may know, last summer I went to Arizona to help with a similar outreach program. I want to share a story that made the trip last year even more exciting. I went up to a house and the mom answered the door. I invited her to check out St. Paul’s vacation Bible school. She looked at me with tears in her eyes and said that she was just wondering how to get her and her kids back into church. I was able to talk with her for about 15 minutes and give her information on the church and the background of it. I ended the conversation by passing along the pastor’s contact information and collecting her information. I learned later that her two kids attended the VBS and were enrolled in the grade school, and she is in the process of becoming a member.

Please pray about supporting me for $1 a day for 30 days (you can apply it all at the end of the month). Let me know if you have any questions!
