Africa Program Manager: Malawi
Dan Tyrrell joined the Kingdom Workers team as the Africa Program Manager in June 2015. Dan and his wife, Liana, make up the field staff in Malawi. They assist local churches in developing service outreach projects. Dan’s responsibilities include deepening relationships with the local church leaders and managing KW-Malawi operations.
Prior to working with KW, Dan served with Friends of China for 5 years in two different cities. He taught English at public and private schools to all levels of language learners ranging from 3-52 years old. In China he learned he has a knack for learning languages, and picked up Mandarin Chinese quite quickly. He loved developing friendships with the local people and exploring Shanghai by bicycle.
Dan’s experience also includes relationship evangelism, staff recruitment, manufacturing cost analysis, ministry planning, team building, and budgeting. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Bethany Lutheran College.
