Builders For Christ
John Lautz and his wife Nancy started Lautz Custom Builders 28 years ago. The company’s main line of work was higher end homes, additions and remodeling in La Crosse County. Over the years, John has been recognized as a builder with various awards; he was the La Crosse Area Builder of the Year in 1987 and 1992, the Wisconsin Builder Association Builder of the Year in 2000, entered the Wisconsin Builders Association Hall of Fame in 2003, and earned the Wisconsin Builders Executive VP award in 2004.
In 2014 John began thinking about new ways that he could use his experience to better serve God and His people. John had already discovered a love for construction on Christian schools, churches, and homes for called workers. He prayerfully considered Kingdom Workers’ Builders For Christ as a professional fit. John is happy to have found a vocation that uses his construction knowledge and the management skills to help God's Kingdom grow. He currently serves as the Director of the Builders for Christ ministry.
John Lautz has been married to Nancy for 40 years. He has three grown daughters and 9 grandchildren.
